Twisting
£30.00Price
It's really back to nature with this piece. In early Springtime a storm left a trail of broken young birch stems in its wake. I foraged these from a regular dog walk and have bound the pliable and wispy birch twigs then twisted their stems twisted into spirals creating a stylised bare tree.
The stems are woven into a sheer tulle fabric and the stems cast beautiful shadows when positioned near a light. The sculptural nature of the stems and the use of sheer tulle fabric means that the stems cast gorgeous shadows if hung in direct sunlight (which is suitable for this piece due to the robust and weathered stems used).
This simple yet beautiful piece is a truly affordable piece of art that will look stunning on any pale coloured wall.
- Enclosed in a 10" circular wooden embroidery hoop with clamp (not framed behind glass)
- The overall depth is around 5cm.
- This piece does not have a backing as it would be a striking addition to any light coloured wall
- Can be hung using the clamp
- This piece is not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
