Looking for affordable art that still has the wow factor? Inspired by a self-sown purple Cosmos in my garden, this dramatic piece nods to the unseen complexity of the simplest flowers using hundreds of woven stems as the veins of the petals. The frilly, imperfect ends of each petal are a Cosmos trademark and contrast with the bold centre.
P.S. The flowers I use are always British-grown and are usually sown, grown and tended by me or my long-suffering Dad!

- The overall depth is around 5cm. The flowers project out of the frame—the artwork is not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
